It’s been over a year since the King of Pop’s tragic death but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to break records. Just this Sunday Julien’s Auctions house in California sold the iconic red Thriller Jacket for a whopping 1.8 Million.

In case you still had any lingering doubts about the rehabilitation of Michael Jackson’s image since his death two years ago, here’s some crazy news: His jacket from the video for “Thriller” sold for a whopping $1.8 million at auction this weekend, selling for way more than the predicted price of $400,000. The sale took place exactly two years after Jackson’s death, and the proceeds will go to a wildlife preserve where Jackson’s two tigers have been for five years. Even crazier: Someone paid $330,000 for one of his sequined gloves.
