Is the Kindle Fire the official iPad killer? Seems like Amazon is flirting with perfection with the latest device in the Kindle brand to hit the market and the best thing about it is probably not all the it’s features. It may be it’s price! Get the slice.

Did Amazon Just Win The Tablet Wars?

It took one hour yesterday for Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos to officially announce the Kindle Fire.

He might also have been announcing that the Kindle Fire is the single best tablet on the market.

Everyone is familiar with the dominance of the iPad in the tablet market as Apple holds a 68% global share of the all tablets sold in the second quarter of 2011.

While Android tablet sales have been slow to make a dent in the iPad dominance, this new offering from a giant like Amazon is sure to make an impact.

If price is all that matters to you, know that the cheapest iPad 2 is $499 , while the Kindle Fire is priced at $199 . That alone will make a dent in Apple’s 68%.

The Kindle Fire is based on the Android platform, though first-hand impressions have mentioned that Android is simply in the background infrastructure and that the user interface is purely a custom Amazon product.

What truly has the nerds excited is Amazon Silk , a new browser for the Kindle Fire that promises to speed up mobile web browsing.

Wired.com has an article about how at a minimum this new Kindle Fire tablet will dominate all of the other Android tablets. I would agree. But I also think that this tablet will start to chip away at the market share of the iPad by the end of 2012.

I’m sold. the Kindle Fire gives me exactly what I want at an amazing price point.

Someone tell my wife that my Christmas list is complete .
