About Us

Kubashi was conceived in July of 2010 initially to provide classification and platform for topics that were currently relevant. The website would give socially-conscious and opinionated writers the opportunity to offer commentary on current events and pop culture. It quickly evolved into a website geared instead more towards bringing readers/viewers updates and breaking news on popular culture and current events and more specifically “everything cool”.

Our stance on “cool” is that it suggests that we provide news that is not only remarkable but positive in nature. Our main goal is to keep viewers current on the latest technology, sports, music, entertainment, etc. without using shock-value to increase readership.

Kubashi is targeted at readers/viewers who are thirsty for captivating news yet who seek content that is not necessarily featured on the other information factories that litter the internet.

The Kubashi staff have an affinity for Asian culture, particularly as it pertains to the NINJA. You will notice we make reference to the them quite often… but don’t read into it too much, this isn’t a ninja cult nor do we practice any Far Eastern religions. We just like Kung Fu flicks and TNMT!
